How to Make Honey Garlic Chicken
Here is a recipe from a member of the Smoked and Cured Team, Brigitta. This recipe uses our Misty Gully Hickory Honey to give it a smokey, sweet flavour. It’s really quick and simple to make, perfect for weeknight dinners. You can also use tofu instead of chicken for a vegetarian/vegan alternative.
Ingredients 
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped carrot
- 2 cups chopped broccoli
- 500g skinless chicken
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable stock
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Misty Gully Smoked Hickory Honey
- 2 tsp corn flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat
- Cook the carrot and broccoli until tender. Remove and cover to keep warm.
- Add chicken to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on each side until brown and cooked through.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add carrot and broccoli back into the pan and stir together.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together stock, soy sauce and hickory honey.
- Pour mixture into pan and cook for 30 seconds.
- In another bowl, mix corn flour with 1 tbsp of cold water. Add to pan and cook until thickened.
- Serve over rice.
