How to Make Baked Pears with Cinnamon Crumble & Smoked Honey

These baked pears are super quick and easy to make and are a great warming winter dessert. The cinnamon crumble is so delicious and goes perfectly with the pears. We’ve drizzled some of our Misty Gully Hickory Honey on top for a smokey twist.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200℃ (400℉) and prepare an oven safe tray.
  2. Combine the castor sugar and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar.
  3. Halve pears and scoop out some of the centre. Brush the insides with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine oats, pecans, brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Pour remaining melted butter into bowl and combine until fully coated.
  5. Spoon into pear halves.
  6. Bake until pears are soft, 35 to 40 minutes.
  7. Drizzle some Misty Gully Hickory Honey over each pear half and top with vanilla ice cream.
  8. Serve warm.
